About the Journal
This publication stands as the official record of academic contributions presented at the annual Peer Beyond Graduate Research Conference, as well as affiliated events and special issues. It serves as a platform to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and scholarly exchange among graduate researchers at the University of Calgary. Sponsored by the Vice President Academic and the Academic Events Committee of the Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) at the University of Calgary, it showcases cutting-edge research, innovative methodologies, and emerging perspectives spanning a wide range of graduate student disciplines. Dedicated to bridging disciplinary divides, this publication promotes collaboration and inspires intellectual exploration that transcends traditional academic boundaries.
Current Issue

This publication celebrates a milestone for the Peer Beyond Graduate Research Conference, an annual interdisciplinary event hosted by the University of Calgary Graduate Students' Association since 2017. For the first time, the 2025 conference, held on February 19 and 20, features its own proceedings. Compiled by Publication Chair Ayoola Oladele and a dedicated team of volunteers, these proceedings showcase 27 extended abstracts, short papers, and poster papers. They highlight some of the remarkable research being conducted by University of Calgary graduate students, featuring work from across various disciplines at the university.
