Land Acknowledgement

Land acknowledgements are a vital act of respect, recognition, and relationship-building among Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. In Calgary, Alberta, we acknowledge Moh’kinsstis and the traditional lands of Treaty 7—the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), Stoney Nakoda Nations (Chiniki, Bearspaw, Goodstoney), and Tsuut’ina Nation—as well as the Otipemisiwak Métis Government of Alberta Districts 5 and 6. We recognize all who live, work, and engage with this land, fostering connection and reconciliation. Gratitude to the Calgary Foundation for informing this land acknowledgement.
