About the Conference
The Peer Beyond Graduate Research Conference (PBGRC) has become a cornerstone event for University of Calgary graduate students since its inception in 2017, offering a free platform for scholars to engage in meaningful dialogue and share their groundbreaking research. Founded and led by the UCalgary Graduate Students’ Association (UCGSA), this annual conference brings together scholars to celebrate and showcase their work across a wide spectrum of disciplines.
This year's conference will be February 18 and 19 at the University of Calgary.
Benefits of attending include snacks and meals, an invitation to a career fair, publication opportunities (for accepted presenters), and more! Details including tickets and schedule coming soon.
For those interested in presenting, the deadline for abstracts is January 16. Supported presentation formats for the Peer Beyond 2026 include:

Classic Research Talks (10 minutes presentation, 2 minutes Q&A)

Poster Sessions (5 minute talks followed by Q&A in the poster hall)
