Point de vue de parents d’enfants présentant des besoins considérés particuliers sur la collaboration école-famille à la maternelle 4 ans
Abstract
The content of this article is the result of a study conducted in Quebec, focusing on the partnership between school and families of children with special needs in the context of full-day 4-year-old kindergarten. More specifically, the point of view of the parents who participated in the research is presented. The results show similarities in their views regarding benefits of school-family partnership and regarding collaborative practices. The results also show differences regarding challenges and needs linked to school-family partnership. Mutual trust, transparency in communication and proactivity in school follow-up emerge as essential characteristics for successful partnership.
