Abstract

Teaching, as an occupation, spans the gap between tradition in a society and needed innovations that invade as new tendencies from the outside world, in the form of legislation, curriculum revisions, changes in the larger society, and so on. This paper deals with the problems of accommodating innovative trends in Greenland teacher training. It is not our intention to present a solution to the problem, but to raise questions about innovation in a society that has a profound conservative tendency.
