Abstract

Krznaric (2014) states that, “empathy is a constant awareness of the fact that your concerns are not everyone’s concerns and that your needs are not everyone’s needs.” Is it possible to build empathy through multimedia, where community members can experience the life of someone else through that person's eyes? At Carlton Comprehensive High School in Prince Albert, videos and multimedia experiences designed to give viewers someone else's perspective are an ongoing project. In this presentation, see some of the videos and hear about some of the experiences designed to create a more empathetic school community.
