Abstract

The process of writing is a multifaceted and intricate process, involving the coordination of three fundamental components: handwriting, spelling, and composing. Each of these components encompasses a variety of underlying processes, including text planning. Most studies indicate that mastering the planning process can be challenging for young writers due to its simultaneous competition with other cognitive tasks. Despite these obstacles, there is a growing body of evidence suggesting that specific intervention strategies can assist young writers in developing this skill. This literature review seeks to report intervention strategies that can support kindergarten and early elementary students in improving their writing planning capabilities.
