Éducation plein air en milieu scolaire : une étude exploratoire sur les modèles d’enseignement et les formules pédagogiques privilégiés par certaines personnes enseignantes
Abstract
Outdoor education (OE) has seen significant growth in Quebec, being applied in a variety of learning environments and contexts. To date, few studies have documented teaching practices, specifically the preferred teaching models and pedagogical formulas (TMPF) used in OE in Quebec. In this exploratory, interpretive research, eight teachers practicing OE participated in two semi-structured interviews. These educators report using various TMPF, particularly those that encourage active student engagement or promote peer interaction and interaction with the environment. The analysis of the results presented in this study helps identify, categorize, and provide examples of the different teaching strategies employed in OE within the school setting. In addition to contributing to the advancement of knowledge, these results can inform the teachers currently involved or wishing to become involved in OE.
