Diriger un établissement multiculturel à Genève ou Montréal: le leadership à l’épreuve de la reconnaissance de la diversité.

Face à l’accroissement des migrations internationales et à la diversification croissante du public scolaire, les directions d’école se doivent de proposer des mesures efficaces et pertinentes de prise en compte des cultures d’origine au sein de leur établissement. Nous proposons dans cet article de comprendre la manière dont les directions d’établissement de deux villes multiculturelles, Genève (Suisse-romande) et Montréal (Québec), répondent à ce défi. 44 entretiens semi-directifs ont été réalisés et analysés à partir du cadre théorique du leadership pour la justice sociale. Les résultats montrent des différences notables quant à la légitimité de l’expression de la différence culturelle entre les deux contextes.
