Between 1960 and 1970, education in the province of Quebec has gone through many rapid changes. From 1961 to 1966, a Royal Commission on Education proposed many changes that were effectively applied by various governments. Those changes were more specifically structural reforms. From that perspective, teacher training that had belonged to teachers' colleges since 1857 was given to universities in 1968. In this article I will first give some comparisons on a methodological level. I will then draw a parallel between two different teacher training systems. Various considerations concerning teacher training programs at colleges and at universities will follow.Téléchargements
