Abstract

Few studies have been undertaken exploring the basic question of attitudes of student teachers concerning the integration of information technologies and communications (ITC) in school settings. Nevertheless, we recognize that the motivation of the primary players is essential for ensuring the integration of microcomputers into educational settings. The student teachers live in a techno-educational paradox. This paper discusses the results of a research study concerning beliefs of future teachers regarding the educational integration of ITC into school settings. The data revealed that the participants interviewed expressed favorable opinions regarding the presence of technology in today's society and for the future.
