In this article, I explore the educational thought and reflective practice in parental education meetings. From a reflective viewpoint, I examine the concept of parental competency used in the field of intervention with parents. The analysis of qualitative data collected during meetings held for three years with parents and daycare educators leads to extend the concept of parental competency to reflective practice. The use of this concept is explored in the article as well as its pedagogical implications for reflective interventions in daycare centers.Downloads
