Author Biography

Marie-Luise Ermisch, Department of History and Classical Studies, McGill University

Marie-Luise Ermisch is a PhD Candidate in the Department of History and Classical Studies at McGill University. Her work focuses on how internationally-operating British-based non-government organizations worked with children and youth in the 1950s and 1960s. Specifically, she is examining how British children and youth in Britain and its empire were incorporated into, what was then, the newly emerging field of international development through educational initiatives.
