Author Biography

Lana Parker, York University

Lana Parker is currently pursuing her doctoral degree in education at York University. She is also a French Immersion Integrated Arts teacher with the Peel District School Board in Ontario, Canada. Her research interests include the relationships among policy development, the media and politics, the negotiation of education discourses in official and unofficial spaces, and conceptions of the purpose of education in local and global contexts.
