In this period of drastic social change, it is imperative that the educational objective be redefined. This undertaking is a major challenge to teachers who wish to renew their teaching philosophy and improve their teaching skill. It also represents a serious challenge to parents who must make choices regarding the school system that they will support. The author makes a comprehensive analysis of the situation, and explores various pathways leading to a redefinition of education to suit the needs of the coming years.
