Abstract

Teacher education programmes pursue the triple objective of transmitting knowledge, of initiating to a savoir fa ire and of developing certain attitudes. Research indicates that attitudes which precede preparation for teaching and which the programs attempt to modify tend to reappear continually in the practice of education. This observation brings the author to question the teacher educators' methodology and to propose a methodology of the recreation of knowledge which would make it possible for transmitted knowledge to influence the development of attitudes more effectively.
