Abstract

This chapter is a literature review exploring the significance of teacher disengagement in education. The manuscript examines the current educational crisis with the shortage of qualified teachers. It highlights the problematic conditions teachers work in today and their impact on them. The literature concludes with current literature that focuses on retaining teachers.
