Dans l’enseignement du français langue étrangère, les approches d’enseignement préconisées et les prescriptions officielles accordent une place insuffisante à la culture, souvent présentée dans une perspective sociologique et folklorisée. Dans cet article, nous proposons de montrer en quoi l’approche culturelle comporte des pistes de réflexion pertinentes pour l’enseignement du français langue étrangère à un public adulte au Québec.
