Author Biography

Jessica Dunkin, Queen's University

Jessica Dunkin is a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Queen's University. Her research explores physical activity programming for working women at Canadian YWCAs in the decades around the turn of the 20th century. Jessica received her PhD in History from Carleton University in 2012. Her first book, Canoe and Canvas: Life at the Annual Encampments of the American Canoe Association, 1880-1910, is under review at the University of Toronto Press.
