Phillip Buckner phillip@pbuckner.freeserve.co.uk is Professor Emeritus in History, the University of New Brunswick, and Senior Research Fellow, Institute of Commonwealth Studies, the University of London. His interests are primarily in Political and Cultural History of Canada, particularly the evolution of Regional and National Identities within Canada.
