Author Biography
Michiel Horn, York University
Born in Baarn, The Netherlands, Michiel Horn came to Canada with his family in 1952, settling in Victoria, B.C. He attended Victoria College (University of British Columbia), Freiburg University in Germany, and the University of Toronto (Ph.D., 1969). Since 1968 he has taught at Glendon College of York University, where he is currently professor of Canadian history. His publications include The Dirty Thirties (1972), The League for Social Reconstruction (1980), A Liberation Album (1980), Becoming Canadian (1997), and the award-winning Academic Freedom in Canada (1999).
