About the Journal
Computational Media Design (CMD) blends computer science and the arts, continuing the tradition of historic innovators who transformed the tools, ideas, and technologies of their time. Today, CMD explores and reimagines the creative and technological possibilities of the 21st century.
Research in the field spans human-computer interaction (HCI), human-robot interaction (HRI), new media, design, computer games, and related areas. CMD is a collaborative initiative between the Faculties of Graduate Studies, Arts, Science, and Environmental Design. CMDJ, an open-source journal, was established in 2010 to further explore and advance this emerging interdisciplinary field.
